CR: State investigator says feds led probe of Ohio EPA

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s inspector general’s office took the lead in the investigation of whether Ohio EPA employees in the Northeast District Office in Twinsburg were showing favoritism toward companies such as the Countywide Recycling & Disposal Facility, a state investigator said Monday.

02/02/08 – The US EPA is urging Countywide to cooperate with the federal investigation and to quickly implement measures designed to correct the situation at the landfill.
